LEARNING ABOUT CHRISTMAS

celebrating me

This term we have been inquiring into 'Celebrating Me'. We have been looking at lots of different celebrations, like Guy Fawkes, Halloween, Weddings and Birthdays, White Sunday, Diwali and more. We also have looked at celebrating our own selves. 

This means we thought about things about ourselves that are worth celebrating... like our family, our hobbies, our learning achievements, our culture.

Here is my DLO to show what I have done throughout the term.

Learning how to code!

Today we went on www.code.org which is a website that teaches kids how to code. Coding is like the background of how games work. I completed Course 1 which taught me how to move characters around a map, how to build up blocks and use direction to control my character.


Next is Course 2!

Kia Ora! My name is Dziah. I learn about my work i am grate. at my learning time when for my school. My favorite thing is READING i do my things on my numbers i am a junior andand my favorite sports is duk duk cosi.I like the way i write and spell my writing and my staty homework AT school time. symmetry and cemetry

Symmetry is where a shape or object is mirrored or the two parts are the same. We used lots of different shapes and we cut the out and folded them in half (vertically and horizontally) to see if the two sides were the same. Then we sorted the shapes into categories - vertically symmetrical, horizontally symmetrical, and asymmetrical. We had to agree or disagree with the other groups if we thought that shape was vertically symmetrical, horizontally symmetrical or it wasn't symmetrical at all. Asymmetrical means when it isn't symmetrical, the two parts are not the same.

hi my name is dziah and i made me a perfect cube  and a cuboid a cube is different to a  cuboid and today i toke a photo of a cube and a cuboid  today i learnt about shapes of sponge bob square pants and other different kinds of shapes. 

Google Drawing tips and tricks!

Today Miss Ashley showed us lots of tips and tricks for using Google Drawings to make our pictures look amazing. We learnt about 

-CROPPING TOOL (this lets you cut part of the picture out)

-RESIZING (making a picture smaller or bigger)

-MASKING (making a picture fit inside a shape like a circle or heart)

-RED MARKER LINES (so the picture is in the middle of the page)

-PNG FILES (drag and drop) (We have to use PNG so they don't have ugly backgrounds, PNG has no background)

-GROUPING (This lets you kind of 'glue' two pictures together to make one picture)

-TEXT (rotating text)

When i first read articles about theme park i was happy that i enjoyed it put other people did not enjoyed it and they really got hurt put i did,not hurt my own self. The people that got hurt they had to got to the hospital because they have there ankil spread and other people broke their legs.
